As part of a national effort to protect critical digital infrastructure during the Hajj season, sirar by stc—the cybersecurity arm of stc Group—has elevated the operational readiness of its cybersecurity platforms for the third consecutive year. This initiative aims to ensure the secure continuity of digital services across key sectors supporting the Hajj, while enhancing incident response capabilities in high-sensitivity environments.
sirar by stc has activated its Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC), powered by its advanced Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, through sector-specific operational models. These models incorporate automated incident response and real-time risk assessment methodologies.
In a regional first, sirar has also enhanced its DDoS protection capacity to over 14Tb. marking the highest active cyber defense bandwidth in the Middle East. This ensures the uninterrupted flow of data and the continuity of critical digital services in high-traffic operational environments throughout the Hajj season.
Additionally, sirar has doubled its cybersecurity protection capacity for digital infrastructure, expanding interconnectivity between various entities to enable secure data flow and seamless technical integration between command-and-control centers and service providers. This step significantly improves performance efficiency and accelerates on-ground response.
These efforts reflect sirar by stc’s ongoing commitment to building a secure and resilient digital environment during major national events. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Cybersecurity Authority and supports operational entities in delivering uninterrupted, high-performance digital services to pilgrims throughout the season.
